In late November, the complete service team from the Saturn of Doylestown dealership on Swamp Road pulled up stakes and moved staff, equipment and operations around the corner to join the Chevrolet service department at 845 North Easton Road.
“Saturn owners are extremely loyal to their brand and to the culture General Motors created 18 years ago,” says Beth Beans Gilbert, who took the Saturn training program in 1989 in Spring Hill, Tennessee, and opened the dealership in 1991. “We’re all saddened by the loss of Saturn, but we didn’t want our customers to feel abandoned. That’s why we’re keeping the same service manager, service advisors and technicians when we make the move.”
Expect to see the faces of those you’ve worked with before: Saturn service manager Steve Zduncyk, service advisors Rick Rosenbaum and Rob Morton, service technicians Ken Curtis, Chris Curtis, Andy Harcum, Jerry Ranieri, Steve Jefferis, John Collom and Eric Zolnierz.
“We haven’t finalized plans to use the Saturn facility on Swamp Road,” says Gilbert. The dealership was built in 1991 when Saturn of Doylestown became the first Saturn dealership in the area and among the first 100 nationwide. Autorent of Doylestown has operated from offices at the dealership for several years.
