Philadelphia Auto Show 2016

This weekend marks the opening of the 2016 Auto Show held at the Convention Center in Philadelphia. It is a week long, family friendly event with thousands of cars, from old to new to so new that they aren’t even on the market yet.

If you have kids come check out Jeep’s set up with Jeep Big Wheels set up in like a bumper car course. And while you’re at Jeep take a ride on their obstacle coarse where you’ll be chauffeured in one of 5 brand new Jeep models. You’ll test out all the off-roading capabilities while you go over staggered “tree stumps” and test the automatic brake assist as you go down a 30 degree drop. It’s a fun and free test drive that allows you to experience what these Jeeps are built for.

If you like classic cars there is an entire section dedicated to fully restored, mint condition antique cars. And next to the antique cars is set up to show you the antique and the commemorative remake of the same antique side by side.

And if it’s new cars you’re after, then there is no short supply. There are incredible new concept cars, 2016 and 2017 models for nearly every brand you can think of. If you like trucks don’t miss the GMC Canyon Diesel or Ford’s Super Duty F-450 DRW. And if you prefer a more luxurious ride, take a stroll over to Lincoln’s 2016 MKZ. There is a Subaru Impreza concept car that will impress!

Head over to Dodge and check out Bon Jovi’s Viper and while you’re there drooling over it, head over to the Take The Challenge where you can get behind the wheel of a Viper and take a simulated drive that lets you experience what it feels like to really open it up on the open road.

And if all that isn’t enough, come by to take a look at the Pope Mobile that was auctioned off last night at the Black Tie Event. It is really a once in a lifetime opportunity.

We’ll be featuring a new car each day of the Auto Show on the blog, so check back everyday to see what’s new!
