The works of 20 artists from the Ivyland Art Group will be exhibited at the Fred Beans Cadillac Saab showroom, 841 N. Easton Road, Doylestown, with an opening reception from 2 to 4:00 on Saturday, September 26. The show, “Visions of Bucks County,” opens Friday afternoon, September 25, and closes Friday, October 2.
“We’re excited to be in the elegant Fred Beans Cadillac Saab showroom for our exhibition,” says Ellen Hall, artist and fine arts teacher for the 20-year-old local art group. “It’s a beautiful, well-lit, serene space that will show the art work to best advantage. We’re especially pleased that the entire show is on one floor, with no stairs to inconvenience our artists or visitors.”
The show will honor the late Helen Gallagher, a founder of the art group and inspiring oil painter who died in July. Several of her paintings from private collections will be in the exhibit. Gallagher left the art group her paints and an envelope of photographs marked “paintings I want
to do some day.”
“Visions of Bucks County” will include some 100 works of art in various media, including oil, watercolor and pastel. Many of the artists have exhibited in juried and one-person shows around the country, as well as locally, and many have earned awards and honors for their work.
