Along with interviewing Chinese students who might wish to come to study in U.S. private high schools, I’ve been asked to prepare and present a 20-minute “model class” so that families would have an idea how American classroom practices and teaching modes differ from traditional Chinese classroom experiences.
I’m typing this in a Beijing hotel room. I’m here as a guest of NextUSA-EDU, a company that recruits overseas students to attend private high schools in the U.S. and then provides support services for them once they are here. I mean there, in the States.
