Collision Centers’ ‘students’ receive CE credits

Something you probably never expected comes out of the Fred Beans Collision Centers: continuing education credits.

“Since October 2005 we’ve offered continuing education to insurance agents doing business in the areas served by our four collision centers,” says business development manager Virginia Krause, who spearheads the training program for the Beans organization. Besides Fred Beans Collision in Doylestown and Boyertown, the centers include Quality Care Collision in Langhorne and McCafferty Collision of Mechanicsburg.

“We typically present two sessions a year, spring and fall, with two approved 3-hour courses each for a total of six CE credits – occasionally, five credits. This helps the agents, and some of their office personnel, meet the continuing education requirements for maintaining their insurance licenses.”

The recently completed spring session offered “Satisfying Insured Claims with Waterborne Paints” and “Loss Control and Windshield Repair.”

“The participants’ day includes the two courses, complimentary breakfast and lunch, a tour of the center and a few minutes with the collision center manager, plus a few giveaways. It’s a satisfying experience for all involved.”
