Hurricane Sandy roared through the Doylestown area Monday night, hell-bent on wreaking damage – or at least on shaking things up a bit.
And that she did!
Thursday morning update: The ONLY Fred Beans facilities with power are those in Limerick: Chevrolet, Kia and Nissan. Please bear with us while we wait for power to be restored. Thank you.
Today, many stores, businesses and residences in the borough and its surrounding municipalities were without power, now two days after the storm’s very noisy passage. As best as I have been able to determine, they include the Fred Beans facilities in the area of North Easton Road and West Swamp Road: Chevrolet, Cadillac, Ford, Dodge, Subaru, Hyundai and Nissan, as well as Autorent, AutoExpress, Collision and the management offices. I have yet to discover if Fred Beans Parts has power and is operating or not.
So if you are calling any of the usual numbers and unable to get an answer, please be patient as the electric company and various municipal services attempt to clean up downed trees and wires and restore power after this unprecedented storm.
Fred Beans dealerships and service departments in Boyertown, Devon, Limerick and West Chester are operational.
I am grateful to live in a small pocket of the Doylestown Borough environs that was relatively unscathed. Not bragging, just feeling very fortunate. My thoughts and prayers are with those many thousands of people here in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and beyond who continue to struggle with losses both large and small and no power to bring light to the darkness.
