General Motors’ Chevrolet division has named Fred Beans Chevrolet in Doylestown one of its elite Mark of Excellence Dealers for 2010, for superior sales volume and customer satisfaction.
Alan Batey, vice president for Chevrolet Sales and Service, said, “I have a term for this kind of performance. I call it ‘doing the basics brilliantly.’ It is only dealers who demonstrate consistent excellence and a dedication to outstanding sales and customer service who achieve this.
“As part of this elite group, you will help lead Chevrolet into our second 100 years…and help us reclaim our role as America’s brand.”
The Mark of Excellence is the original name of the logo of the General Motors Corporation. First introduced in 1966, the logo initially included the phrase “Mark of Excellence” at the bottom. The Mark of Excellence award continues that decades’-old tradition.]
“I’d like to personally congratulate the entire Chevrolet team in Doylestown for meeting or exceeding the performance criteria and earning the Mark of Excellence for 2010,” says Fred Beans, president of the automotive group that includes the Chevrolet dealership at 845 N. Easton Road in Doylestown. “I thank each and every one of you who has worked so hard to make this possible. It’s been a long time coming, but it’s certainly a great achievement for all of us to be proud of.”
To earn a place among the top-ranking group of dealers, the dealership met or exceeded these performance criteria:
• Among top performers in the dealer’s group cumulative Sales Excellence Index
• Customer Satisfaction Index for Chevrolet
• Year-end Retail Sales Index of 85 or higher
• Full compliance with Essential Brand Elements by close of 4Q2010
“This is a great honor for all of us, and something each one of us helped the dealership achieve,” says general manager Mark Donahue, who has been with the automotive group for over 35 years.
