Following on the success of National Plug-In Day at the Franklin Institute in September, Fred Beans Family of Dealerships is sponsoring the first Bucks County E-Cars Expo for the community on Saturday, 3 November, 9am–3pm in the Fred Beans Chevrolet showroom at 845 N. Easton Road, Doylestown 18902.
The E-Cars Expo is open to the public, no charge. This is an educational event that will provide information about electric cars’ advantages and the science behind them, as well as details about federal grants to owners of some new e-cars that fund the purchase of home charging stations.
“This event is much more than just looking at the new electric cars,” says John M. Kachmar, certified Nissan Leaf specialist at Fred Beans Nissan of Doylestown. “It truly is an ‘expo’ with various stations offering literature, displays, working models – and experts with answers to your questions.”
Licensed drivers will be invited to test-drive the 2012 Nissan Leaf, 2012 Chevrolet Volt and 2012 Mitsubishi i-MiEV on a short local course, and the showroom set-up will include a Tesla Roadster. Also on display will be the Blink Charging Station.
Presentations and presenters include
“Owning an EV,” Oliver Perry, president of Eastern Electric Vehicle Club
“The EV Project,” Paul Heitmann, Utility Solutions Development for Ecotality / Blink
“Driving America Green,” Michael L. Craner, co-founder of Renew America Roadtrip
