Palisades Cybersonics Team holds 3rd Fred Beans test-drive event May 3

We’re really excited to announce that the Cybersonics Technology Team 103 of Palisades High School in Kintnersville is gearing up for its third test-drive fundraiser – and aiming to beat last year’s total of $3,460 raised.

The community raised $3,460 for the Cybersonics at last year's test-drive event.

The award-winning high-school robotics team is pairing with Fred Beans Ford Lincoln of Doylestown for the Lincoln Motor Company-sponsored Driven to Give event on Saturday morning, May 3, at the high school, 35 Church Hill Rd, Kintnersville, PA 18930.

The event is 8:30am – 12noon – before, during and after the Palisades Community Foundation 5K Challenge run.

The Driven to Give test-drive fundraiser is a no-pressure, no-sales, no-hassle fun event that brings together a school or nonprofit group, the community, a dealership partner and new Lincoln vehicles. For every qualified test drive taken on location at the school during the event, Lincoln donates $20 to the Cybersonics team, up to 300 test drives, or $6,000.

To qualify for the Lincoln donation, the test-driver must be licensed and 18 years or older, and only one qualified test drive per household address is acceptable. There is absolutely no obligation to buy anything and no sales pitch…this is a no-pressure community event.

“But we’re really excited because this spring, Lincoln is offering a substantial bonus,” says Gary Glauser, sales manager for the dealership. “For the first 100 people who take a second test drive, one of which is in a 2014 Lincoln MKX, Lincoln’s luxury crossover, Lincoln will donate $20 each for both test drives.

“That means the Cybersonics could raise an additional $2,000.”

2014 Lincoln MKX

Here’s how it works
All you need to do to help the Cybersonics raise up to $8,000 on May 3 is to show up, fill out a short form, hop into a waiting Lincoln, drive around the block with a Fred Beans representative, complete the brief survey on the back of your form, drop it off with the Cybersonics volunteers – and you’re finished! It’s a short course (unless you want to drive a little longer) and should take less than a half hour of your time.

If you are one of the first 100 test drivers, take a second test drive in an MKX and note it on the initial survey form for an extra $20 donation from Lincoln to the Cybersonics.

Fred Beans passes a Ford check for $3,460 to Cybersonics last fall for the 2013 test-drive event.

Parents and older siblings of Palisades students, members of the local community, nonresidents of the immediate area, ALL are invited to participate, with NO sales pitch, NO obligation to buy anything and NO commitment.

The day’s events at the high school include demos of award-winning Cybersonics robot technology, the exciting 5K Challenge and 1-mile Community Walk, and a variety of other activities and highlights.

Hope to see you there!
