I am a happy man. The economy in general is improving, the automotive industry has begun to right itself after a serious tumble, and back in January General Motors granted us approval for a Chevrolet franchise at our former Buick GMC Pontiac facility in Limerick. It’s taken some time to work out all the details of the change, but I am delighted to say that we are now up and running as a Chevrolet dealership on Auto Park Boulevard, on the hill overlooking our beautiful Kia and Nissan facilities.
We’re all enthusiastic about this opportunity to represent the improved Chevrolet lineup—which we believe is poised to fulfill General Motors’ promise to the industry and consumers in regards to design, fuel economy, safety and performance. Consumer Reports’ automotive issue gave top ratings to Chevrolet’s Traverse (family SUV) and Silverado 1500 (pickup truck), then called on car buyers to keep an eye on two newcomers: the small Cruze sedan that replaces the Cobalt and the new Volt extended-range electric car that is slated to be in production by the end of the year.
Yes, such exciting changes have us feeling very hopeful for the future of the industry, the vigor of our business and the certainty that we will be here to serve the Limerick community for a long time to come. We hope you’ll stop by to see us on Auto Park Boulevard…in the same place but under a new sign: Fred Beans Chevrolet.
