Beth Beans Gilbert, the president of Fred Beans Volkswagen of Devon and vice president of the Fred Beans Automotive Group, has been nominated for the 2023 TIME Dealer of the Year award. This prestigious award recognizes the most successful auto dealers around the nation who are also committed to community service. This nomination is a highly coveted honor and is one of only 48 given to more than 16,000 dealers nationwide.
No one is more deserving of this nomination than Beth Beans Gilbert. Not only has she been a huge part in the dealership's success, especially when it comes to taking care of their employees, but she's also led and been involved in a long list of community service programs and projects. Gilbert even said, "My role is to ensure the long-term viability of our company by focusing on the experiences of all involved – from our nearly 1,800 employees to customers to community partners". This focus has even led to a recognition in the "Philadelphia Business Journal as one of the Best Places to Work and Healthiest Employees in the Greater Philadelphia area."
Some of the many community service programs and charities she has been or is a part of or has helped raise for include:
- Auto Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia and their technical school scholarship program
- Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation and their annual new-coat drive
- YMCA of Bucks County and their renovations and expansion projects
- Doylestown Hospital and its new Cardiovascular and Critical Care Pavilion
- Funds for annual scholarships and new police vehicles
- 500,000 Meals Challenge to fight hunger during the pandemic
- Michener Art Museum
- Doylestown Health Foundation
- Central Bucks Regional Police Foundation
- Central Bucks School District
- And much more!
Beth Beans Gilbert will be honored at the 106th National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) in Dallas, TX, on January 27th, 2023. Here, a panel of faculty members will choose one finalist from each NADA region and one national Dealer of the Year. Ally Financial will provide each winner $5,000 for the charity of their choice and the national winner $10,000. The goal is to "…celebrate dealers who are the role models of the retail auto industry for their continuous efforts to lift up and support their employees, customers and communities". We celebrate Beth's nomination and her work to make this world a better place.
