Fred Beans Honda of Abington hosts local Scouts in Washington District Pinewood Derby

Abington, Pa. – More than 60 Scouts from Cub Scout Packs in the Washington District recently competed in the Pinewood Derby held at Fred Beans Honda of Abington. A new location for this year’s race, the Fred Beans dealership provided a fitting setting for the miniature car race and additional STEM activities for young racers and their families to explore the scientific principles of automotive engineering.

As the host, Fred Beans Automotive Group also provided trophies and t-shirts for participants.

Fred Beans kicks off 2025 with $50,000 donation to fight hunger

Fred Beans Automotive Group met its year-end goal to sell vehicles for a good cause and is now donating $50,000 to fund about 100,000 meals in communities where Beans operates. Starting Black Friday through the end of the year, Fred Beans donated a portion of each sale to this hunger-fighting effort. The automotive group also collected food to include in its donations.

Fred Beans presents Unite for HER with $26K donation

For the second straight year, Fred Beans Automotive Group designated a portion of vehicle sales in October to Unite for HER. In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Fred Beans dealerships aimed to sell cars and trucks to support the nonprofit that has a significant local impact on those diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancers. The funds raised through the month-long campaign totaled $26,190, bringing the two-year donation from Beans to Unite for HER to just under $50,000.
