The Fred Beans Family Foundation donated $30,000 at the end of 2025 to support the Bucks County Opportunity Council (BCOC). The Fred Beans Automotive Group has developed a close partnership with the BCOC to help reduce poverty and fight food insecurity in the region. The Fred Beans Family Foundation recently distributed $100,000 across five organizations important to the communities where Fred Beans Automotive Group operates. Recipients of the 2025 end-of-year donations are: the Abington Police Athletic League, Bucks County Free Library, Bucks County Opportunity Council, The Next Step Programs and Twilight Wish Foundation.

Established by the family of Fred Beans, the Fred Beans Family Foundation is currently overseen by Beans’ 10 grandchildren, who have researched and selected recipients of the Foundation’s donations for the past three years. This year, they selected organizations that they, personally, or the company had already established connections with.

“We always aim to give back locally, because we are grateful to the communities that have welcomed our family business and helped it succeed; this is a way to share that gratitude,” said Alexandra Gilbert, the oldest daughter of Beth Beans Gilbert and Chris Gilbert. “Although many of us grandchildren no longer live in this area, we want to remain connected to the people and places important to our family and our business.”

Fred Beans Automotive Group marked its 50th year in business in 2025, and that milestone was reached largely because of Fred Beans’ commitment to connecting with and supporting people in the communities where he does business. Now, his grandchildren look to continue that legacy.

“He instilled in all of us the importance of giving back, so we consider it a great responsibility and privilege to oversee the Foundation and ensure that we are able to continue helping others on behalf of our grandfather and our entire family,” said Lauren Murray Soverino, daughter of Barbara Beans.

All 10 of Fred Beans’ grandchildren grew up in Bucks County. Beans raised his own three daughters in Doylestown, where he continues to live and maintain company headquarters.

His three daughters each hold leadership positions in the family business: Beth Beans Gilbert is vice president, and her husband, Chris, is COO; Barbara Beans is fleet manager; and Jennifer Beans Keiser is president of the Autorent daily rental section of the business.
