A little mechanical issue meant the Fred Beans Automotive Group had to reschedule the Jefferson Health Mammovan, but the company’s Wellness Coordinator Andrea Volm (pictured right) made sure it happened! The Mammovan recently rolled into Fred Beans Lincoln of Doylestown to provide free breast cancer screenings to interested Fred Beans team members. Vice President Beth Beans Gilbert joins Volm outside of the van.
Doylestown, Pa. – Fred Beans Automotive Group once again dedicated a portion of October vehicle sales and service bills to support organizations dedicated to helping local women navigate breast and ovarian cancers and champion new treatments and cures for these diseases.
The company’s 2025 Breast Cancer Awareness campaign raised $30,000, with funding split evenly between Unite for HER and the PA Breast Cancer Coalition. All Fred Beans dealerships hosted tables throughout October to raise additional funds and share important information to promote early detection of cancer and ways to support important research for treatments and cures.
“Just about all of us know someone impacted by these diseases, and we have survivors on our own team. That has motivated us to show support, whether by wearing pink or handing out information in our dealerships, and help with fundraising for our important partners, Unite for HER and the PA Breast Cancer Coalition,” said Beth Beans Gilbert, vice president of Fred Beans Automotive Group.
“With every car sold in the month of October, Fred Beans dealerships and their customers have helped the PA Breast Cancer Coalition provide support, compassion and hope for Pennsylvanians touched by breast cancer," said Pat Halpin-Murphy, president and founder of the PA Breast Cancer Coalition. "Drive Out Breast Cancer reaches patients in treatment today and fuels lifesaving research for the future. Together, we're finding a cure for breast cancer now... so our daughters don't have to. Thank you, Fred Beans!"
Fred Beans also makes it easy for employees to follow best practices for breast cancer screening. The company scheduled the Jefferson Health Mammovan to provide free breast cancer screenings to team members.
In recognition of Fred Beans Automotive Group’s ongoing support for women’s health, Unite for HER presented the company with its 2025-2026 Community Partner Award. CEO and Founder Sue Weldon announced the honor, writing, “We are grateful to you for helping to raise awareness, to innovate with Unite for HER and to award critical funds in support of Unite for HER’s mission. You are proof of the incredible difference that just one company can make in a community!”
