Doylestown, Pa. - Throughout October, Fred Beans dealerships contributed a portion of each vehicle sale to benefit Unite for HER. The automotive group recently presented the total funds raised - $21,700 - to the nonprofit, which funds and delivers integrative therapies to individuals diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancers.

Beans set aside a portion of each sale in October to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Fred Beans Automotive Group Vice President Beth Beans Gilbert said the company selected Unite for HER as the beneficiary of funds raised after learning about the support the nonprofit provided to Stacie Crane, a valued partner of Beans who serves as sales operations manager with Volkswagen of America. She said others connected to the company have also mentioned the invaluable support provided by Unite for HER to boost their health and well-being.

Larry Storm, general manager of Fred Beans Volkswagen of Doylestown, said being able to support a colleague with this donation added meaning to each car sale. “I love everything about this company, but these opportunities to give back by doing our jobs provides extra motivation and is really special,” he said.

Throughout December, Fred Beans dealerships will shift to fight hunger, with proceeds from each vehicle sale supporting food pantries in areas where Beans operates.
